Dr. Farnell brings a wealth of experience and a compassionate approach to family medicine, shaped by over two decades of dedicated service in the U.S. Army. Originally from Blythewood, South Carolina, Dr. Farnell now calls Evans, Georgia home, having settled there in 2009 after an illustrious career as a Family Physician in the military.
Dr. Farnell completed his undergraduate studies at Furman University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, before advancing to the prestigious Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston to pursue his medical degree. He further honed his skills during his residency in Family Medicine at the Eisenhower Army Medical Center at Fort Eisenhower, Georgia.
Throughout his 21-year military career, Dr. Farnell provided comprehensive care to patients of all ages, including obstetrics, newborn care, office procedures, and hospital medicine. He is passionately committed to quality, evidence-based pediatric and adult care, with a particular interest in women’s health, sports medicine, preventative medicine, and enhancing wellness through nutrition and physical activity.
Beyond his medical practice, Dr. Farnell is a dedicated family man, married with four daughters. He is an active member of his local church and has contributed to global health initiatives through medical missions in Venezuela and South Africa. An avid outdoorsman, Dr. Farnell enjoys endurance cycling, hiking, and participating in any activity that takes him to the mountains. He also serves on a trail conservation board, advocating for the development of local trails that everyone can enjoy.
